Local video processing
Simple Video Converter is a Windows desktop app that converts videos you select on your own computer. It accesses the selected files, their metadata and streams to analyze and convert them. Source files are not replaced; converted copies are saved to the output folder you choose.
FFmpeg and ffprobe run locally as part of the app. The app does not require an account or send video files, audio, subtitles, file names or conversion history to mablook. It contains no advertising, analytics or telemetry.
Saved queue and your controls
The app saves the conversion queue, selected file paths, format choices and output folder in %LocalAppData%\MabLook\VideoConverter\queue.json so the queue can be restored. Clearing the queue removes its saved entries but does not delete source or converted videos.
You can delete converted files from the output folder and remove the local queue file through Windows.
Store requests and external services
The app contacts Microsoft Store only when you choose to check for Store updates or open the Store page. Windows and Microsoft handle those Store requests under their own privacy terms.
The optional Buy Me a Coffee link opens an external website only when you click it. If you choose a folder synchronized by OneDrive or another service, that service may upload the converted copy according to its own settings.
Data sharing and contact
Mablook does not sell or share personal data collected by the app, because the app does not collect it. For privacy questions, use hello@mablook.com.
